The death has occurred of Joseph Nzioka Kathuka aka Cap-10, of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), Indiana, USA, after a fatal car accident. He was the former Captain of Mwenge FC Nairobi and attended Braeside School in Nairobi.
Beloved son to Richard Itumo Kathuka (USA) and Sophia Nduku Kathuka (USA). Loving brother to Phyllis Kalekye Kathuka (USA) and uncle to Jayden Amani Ngallo (USA).
He is survived by his girlfriend Ruth Lydia Dick and their son Joseph Richard John Nzioka of Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK. Grandson to the late Major General Nzioka, Loise Kathuka, Martina Nzioka, the late Major Ngulli and Mrs. Phyllis Ngulli. Nephew to Lawrence Kathuka, Hon. William Kikwai and Mrs. Agnes Kikwai, Julius Musyoki (USA), Victoria Nzioka, late John Nzioka, Juliet Musyoki, Betty Muisyo, Pascal Mutuku, Peter Ngulli, Tom Ngulli, Rose Mbithi (Kenya Airways), late Janet Nguli, Ndunge Mutuku (USA), Bernedette Mutuku (EABL) among others.
Cousin to Henry Kimeu, Mbesa Muisyo (USA), Timothy Muisyo, Chebet Kikwai, Dr. Chepchumba Kikwai (USA), Raymond Kikwai, Rebecca Kikwai, Monique Musyoki, Muthama Nzioka (USA), Joseph ”Jojo” Nzioka (USA), Sophie Gulavic, Richie Nzioka, Brenda Syombua, Bruce Mbithi, Kullu Mbithi, Ngunga Mbithi, Mumbua Ngulli, Jackson Ngulli among others.
Family and friends are meeting at the Nyayo National Stadium, Kuche Kuche Restaurant daily from 5:30 pm. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
