We regret to announce the death of Esther Mtende Wanyama who was in her 2ndyear at the school of Medicine in the University of Nairobi which occurred on 23/05/09 at the Nairobi Hospital after a long battle with cancer bravely borne. Beloved daughter of John Wanyama Subai (UN Darfur) & Beatrice Wanyama (UN Liberia). Loving sister to Dr. Denis Siakama Wanyama (MSF Belgium), Claire Wanyama (UK), Evans Wanyama (Strathmore), Joan Wanyama (U.o.N) and Sharon Wanyama (St. Patricks Academy). Cherished sister-in-law of Dr. Virginia Gacani Siakama (Nairobi Women’s Hospital). Adored grand daughter of the Late Regina and Andrea Subai Siakama of Likuyani, - Soy, Esther Nelima and Simeon Ndunde of Mwamba - Turbo, Johnstone Chibeu, Hezron Chibeu, Julius Windo, Dr Dickens Malanga , Jane Chibeu and Diana Tindi of USA, Ruth Nyongesa, Roselyne Mwalo and Morris Wamalwa. Niece of Simiyu Siakama Chief, Martina Wasike, Mary Kilwake, Nyongesa Kazimoto, Vincent Subai, Cleophas Subai, Benedict Wanjala. Funeral Service
There will be a funeral service at St. Austins church on Thursday 28/05/09 at 2pm and thereafter an overnight vigil at Lavington. The cottege leaves on Friday 29/05/09 for burial on Saturday 30/05/09 at her father’s home in Naitiri.
Fundraising
There will be a fundraising at All Saints Cathedral Multipurpose Hall on Wednesday 27/05/09 from 5.00 p.m. to offset hospital & funeral expenses. Prayers are being held at the family home in Lavington - Amboseli Lane, off Amboseli Road every evening.
Memorial Mass
There is going to be a memorial mass on Thursday the 28th of May at St.Austins chapel at 2.00 pm. Friends attending are requested to wear a blue item of clothing or a blue accessory because it was her favourite colour.
